Job description: Own authorization inside GitLab's Ruby on Rails monolith, where a single request can fire hundreds of permission checks. You will build fine-grained permissions for tokens and roles, harden enforcement across GraphQL and the REST API, refactor long-lived policy code so both the monolith and a new authorization engine can evaluate it, and take workstreams from problem definition through feature-flagged rollout, dual-run verification and cleanup.
