With 11.11, Black Friday and Cyber Monday coming up, be vigilant of online shopping scams. Scammers may post fake deals or run livestreams selling scratch cards and mystery bags with fake prizes 🎁⚠️
How they trick you:
💸 Ask for payment via bank transfer, PayNow or DuitNow
🔗 Send phishing links that steal bank details and OTPs
🎫 Request extra fees to “upgrade” chances or claim winnings
Protect yourself:
✅ Buy from reputable sources (check go.gov.sg/mhatsr)
✅ Install apps only from official stores
✅ Use secure in-platform payment options
