❤️🔥 Join us this May in support of Ukrainian cinema in Britain
🫂 Honeymoon
📍 Rio Cinema | 6 May | 18:30
We are delighted to invite you to a special evening at Rio Cinema as part of a new long-term collaboration between Talented U and one of London’s most beloved independent cinemas, dedicated to supporting and showcasing Ukrainian cinema in Britain.
Our first screening in this partnership is the British premiere of Honeymoon, a powerful feature by acclaimed Ukrainian writer and director Zhanna Ozirna.
Set in the first days of Russia’s full-scale invasion, Honeymoon follows a young couple trapped inside their flat near Kyiv as war closes in around them. Since its premiere at the Venice Film Festival, the film has received wide international recognition, including the Albert Wiederspiel Award at FILMFEST HAMBURG, two awards at the Fribourg International Film Festival, and the Grand Prix at the Molodist Film Festival.
We are also honoured to welcome producer Dmytro Sukhanov for a Q&A following the screening.
