Hurricane Hunters earlier this evening found tropical storm force winds in the convective burst on the southern end of the system, thus we have Bertha. Most hurricane guidance pretty much locking on on an Eastern LA landfall Wednesday as a weak to mid-range tropical storm in the 50 mph range in any convection.
This reaches the Acadiana coastal parishes as a weakening/sheared system with all the big storms staying offshore Thursday...scattered showers and a few storms possible inland for our area Wednesday-Saturday...
We should have a (HOT) breeze in the 10-15 mph range with some gusts 25 mph Wednesday into Thursday. No flood threat no wind damage concerns...coastal areas will be breezier however but gusts probably less than 40 mph...so take care of any coastal/marine concerns just in case. #lawx #Bertha
