‼️SE Louisiana and coastal MS friends:
There is a significant chance for life-threatening flooding somewhere from the south central LA coast through the I-59 corridor. Rain totals in spots could exceed 10” where there has already been flooding saturating the grounds and leading to rising river levels on the North Shore.
The timing of additional flooding would be overnight into very early Thursday morning, but a tail of heavy rain and storms could even continue into the afternoon. There is also a tornado threat as the storms move onshore.
MAKE SURE YOU HAVE WAYS TO RECEIVE ALERTS OVERNIGHT ‼️
Take shelter in the most interior room in your home in the event of a tornado warning, and evacuate to higher ground if you live in flood prone areas and a flood warning is issued.
