Family Relocation to Indonesia Through Education: How Does It Actually Work? 🎓🌴
Planning to move to Bali or Jakarta with the whole family? One of the most practical legal routes is the Student KITAS (E30A) for your child (even if it's a kindergarten!), which opens up the possibility of getting a Parent KITAS (E31H) for parents and a Sibling KITAS (E31J) for brothers and sisters.
To make this choice transparent, we have launched a database of schools, kindergartens, and educational centers in Indonesia: 👉 Ссылка скрыта
How is the process structured to avoid turning into a mess? 📋
Processing a family stay permit is a serious procedure involving three parties. To avoid confusion ("who sent what to whom"), communication (ideally via email) must strictly follow a specific order:
Step 1. Parents ↔ School
You choose an educational institution from our catalog and send an inquiry directly to them. Your task is to agree on the enrollment and find out if the school is willing to act as a visa sponsor. As an agency, we cannot pressure the school — sponsorship is rather a gesture of loyalty on their part. Try to charm them and tell them you'll love them even more! 😉
(The schools in our "highlights" are partners who are already prepared to provide visa support. Educational institutions wishing to receive this badge can email us at
[email protected]).
Step 2. School ↔ Flado
Once the study arrangements are settled, the educational institution contacts us. It is the school that provides us with their corporate documents, the child's Acceptance Letter, and confirms the duration of the visas for the student and their family (KITAS can be issued for up to 2 years with the possibility of extension).
For the educational institution, this is absolutely comfortable: Flado handles all the routine work, and our document flow is perfectly tailored for visas. The school does not need to visit the immigration office. And if the school has its own immigration account — we know how they can properly and safely share it.
Step 3. Parents ↔ Flado
Only after getting the green light and all the documents from the school, we start working with you! At this stage, the expat parents pay for the visa services, and together we choose the processing strategy:
✈️ Offshore — if you are still outside of Indonesia.
🏝 Onshore — converting your current visa without leaving the country.
⚡️ Priority — expedited process.
We will tailor the strategy to process visas for all family members before the school year starts, before your arrival, or before your current visas expire (so you won't have to do a visa run).
We build the process so that everything goes smoothly, transparently, and on time. We save budgets — Flado! 🤝
