Forbes Romania, part of the globally renowned Forbes media brand, has published an analytical article featuring Freedom24’s perspective on how Romanian investors have structured their portfolios in 2025. The update reflects investment decisions already made over the year, offering a clear picture of investor preferences in a period shaped by rapid technological development and ongoing market volatility.
Technology and artificial intelligence continued to dominate the choices of Romanian investors in 2025, with transactions concentrated in leading companies from these sectors, based on an analysis by Freedom24. The most active trading focused on technology giants such as Microsoft (MSFТ.US), Nvidia (NVDА.US) and Intel (INTС.US), alongside other widely traded names including Oracle, Palantir, Uber, Apple, and Starbucks, showing a balance between growth-driven opportunities and more defensive investment choices.
Beyond individual stocks, the analysis highlights diversification and risk management as key themes in investor behavior. Romanian investors increased their exposure to global ETFs to access both developed and emerging markets, while also turning to money market ETFs such as XEОN.EU and CSХ5.EU as defensive options during periods of economic volatility.
By the end of 2025, Freedom24 recorded an increase of approximately 9 percent in the number of Romanian users, reaching over 4,300 active customers. This growth reflects Freedom24’s expanding presence in the region, as more investors turn to the platform for broad market access and analytics that support their investment decisions.
