Today is a great day for joining an AI safety startup in London 💫
atla is building AI for automatic evaluation and testing of other AI products. In other words, they are training LLMs to evaluate whether other models’ answers are correct, logically coherent, lack hallucinations and all kinds of other things — you can add custom metrics too 🐱
This kind of quality control and assessment is important for any AI-based application. And in addition to that, what makes Atla exceptional is their handy API, integration with CI, online monitoring — in short, everything that makes observation very simple and accessible.
We are looking for an ML engineer. This position is a mix of infra and research — you’ll be building fine-tuning frameworks, coming up with novel synthetic data generation techniques and creating inference platforms to ensure that everything works quickly and scales well.
You will need:
🔹 experience in creating and managing multi-instance clusters for parallel training across GPUs/TPUs — preferably using PyTorch and Kubernetes;
🔹 experience with serving large ML models at scale;
🔹 clear signals of competence — this can be a degree from a top-tier uni, impressive work experience, publications and conferences, high Kaggle rating. Just tell us us what you’re really proud of!
The pay is $135k–400k/year, and you also get a significant chunk of equity, dental insurance, and help with relocation to London.
