A flight with Emirates this summer can be turned into a mini-trip around Dubai. Moscow airports have restricted operations. Sheremetyevo, Vnukovo, Domodedovo and Zhukovsky are temporarily not accepting or dispatching flights. According to the Ministry of Transport and Rosaviatsiya, the restrictions have been introduced to ensure flight safety. Airlines are adjusting their schedules. Delays, rescheduling and route changes are possible not only in Moscow, but across carriers’ entire route networks. Rosaviatsiya reports that the following have been arranged for waiting passengers: mats and mattresses, free drinking water, mother and baby rooms, and increased staffing of information desks and call centres. From 15 June, BLS visa centres in Russia no longer accept applications for a visa to the Republic of Cyprus. The reason is the end of the contract with the external operator. Until a new operator is connected, documents are being accepted directly at Cyprus consular offices: in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Yekaterinburg and Krasnodar. Because of this, the workload has expectedly increased. One of our subscribers said that today he arrived at the embassy at 8 am - and was already roughly 300th in the queue. If your trip is not in the next few days, it may be worth holding off on applying. Right now there are many people in the queue whose flights are in the next day or two - they need the processing first. The rush only creates an additional burden.
